Opportunity Collaboration
Beginning on World Poverty Day (October 17, 2009), this five-day event in Ixtapa, Mexico will forge effective collaborations between entrepreneurs, non-profit workers and anyone else interested in making a concrete contribution to the fight against poverty. The focus of the event is practical solutions.
250 foundation trustees and executives, as well as social investors, leaders in the non-profit sphere, social entrepreneurs and leading anti-poverty thinkers will each lead a solo workshop designed to clarify the crises leading and pertaining to poverty, and introduce real solutions. Excepting airfare, all expenses for Opportunity Collaboration participants are included in the registration fee of $4750.00. This means three meals a day, Internet access, gratuities, transportation to and from the airport, and lodging at the “sustainable tourism” village in Ixtapa.
Opportunity Collaboration and CSRwire have partnered to offer attendees of the event a free year’s profile membership on CSRwire. Profile Members receive an organization profile page linked to via CSRwire’s members page. The profile page contains a logo, contact information, as well as a brief description of your organization, a running archive of past CSRwire news items, and allows for excellent search engine visibility. It is CSRwire’s hope that this will assist attendees in promoting the many initiatives that will be established at Opportunity Collaboration.
The Opportunity Collaboration will be about creating active participation in attacking problems relating to poverty. Networking and speech-making are not features of Opportunity Collaboration. As a result of intensive workshops and subsequent conversation spread out over the course of five days, participants in Ixtapa will come upon innovative, effective methods by which to address and improve the global poverty crisis. Opportunity Collaboration presents an exciting opportunity for figures from a broad spectrum of perspectives to come together, pool resources and knowledge, and use their differences to discover a common ground on which to build resolutions for the common good.
The Collaboration is for doers, not talkers. Challenged, not cowed, by the shaky economic times, Delegates are catalytic leaders and social investors. ENROLL NOW.
